What is a Singapore Passport photo?
A Singapore passport photo for the ICA e-Service is exactly 400×514 pixels — an exact requirement, not a minimum — in colour against a plain white background, taken within the last three months, with the applicant's shoulders and hair fully in frame and a neutral expression.
Singapore's application flow is digital-first through MyICA, making the pixel-exact upload the main event; printed 35×45 mm photos survive for collection and secondary uses. Clear untinted spectacles are permitted, coloured contacts are not, and headgear is allowed only for habitual religious or racial custom worn dark against the white background.
This page checks your photo against the ICA guidelines in your browser and delivers a file at precisely 400×514 px, plus a 35×45 mm print sheet for the occasions that still ask for physical photos.

Frequently asked questions
What is the exact photo size for a Singapore passport application?
The MyICA e-Service upload must be exactly 400×514 pixels. Accepted formats include JPG and PNG (HEIC from iPhones is also accepted by the portal, but a JPG is the safe choice — and it's what we deliver).
How recent must the photo be?
Taken within the last 3 months — stricter than the 6-month rule most countries use. It must reflect your current appearance.
Are glasses and headgear allowed?
Clear untinted spectacles are fine if your eyes are fully visible with no glare. Coloured contact lenses are not allowed. Headgear is only permitted when worn habitually for religious or racial custom, must appear dark against the white background, and must not hide your facial features.
Can I use the same photo for my Singapore passport and other documents?
The 400×514 px file is specific to ICA e-Services. Your purchase also includes a standard 35×45 mm print sheet, which covers most other Singapore document uses that ask for a physical photo.
Compliance, honestly
- We validate your photo against the official rules — we never retouch your face, and we only normalize the background where the destination country permits it.
- Every requirement is cited from official government sources, with the verification date shown on the page.
- You get a measured report, not a guarantee — final acceptance always rests with the issuing authority.
