What is a Estonia ID Card photo?
The Estonian ID card photo follows the same fully digital PBGB specification as the passport: minimum 1300×1600 pixels, JPEG between 1 and 5 MB, light single-colour background, unedited, submitted via self-service.
As the credential behind e-Estonia's digital signatures and services, the ID card is near-universal among residents. A photo less than six months old from a recent application can often be reused automatically, so one compliant photo goes a long way.
